- [6] Recommended wired connection:
- the most reliable way to connect the components of a local network is the Ethernet connection, more commonly referred to as “RJ45”. The routers used to share access between several computers should have sufficiently fast Ethernet ports, i.e. 100 Mbps (100Base-T) or 1 Gbps (1000Base-T).
- Wireless connection: although slower than wire connection, wireless access meeting standard 802.11g (minimum) is preferable.
- The USB 2.0 standard allows speeds available under Windows environment, but it is preferable to use a dedicated network port.
