The Softphone is one of Videotron's latest technological innovations in the telephony field. It enables you to manage your calls, wherever you are.
The Softphone is user-friendly and easy to install on your computer. You just have to be equipped with a microphone and a headset to make phone calls wherever you are.[1]
The Softphone subscription includes the Personal Call Manager, a service that enables you to configure the call parameters directly online. Have your wireless phone ring simultaneously or program quiet times: It's so easy with the Personal Call Manager.

Your number follows you everywhere, from Montreal to London. A high-speed Internet connection is all you need to call from anywhere, as if you were home.
Bring your computer and connect: you can send and receive local calls anywhere in the world, no matter what your Softphone area code.
- Free long distance

Long-distance charges are the same as with cable telephone, with one difference: when you phone from outside your local calling area (such as when travelling abroad), the calls made or received in your calling area are free.
For instance, if your Softphone number is in the 514 area code, you can make local calls in the Montreal area as if you were there. The reverse is also true: a person residing in the Montreal area can call you anywhere in the world on your Softphone number without incurring long-distance charges.
However, when you call a number with a different area code than your own, long-distance charges will apply, in the same way as with cable telephone.
If you want to call outside your local calling area, you can add one of our long-distance plans to your Softphone.
