Coverage in Canada and the US
With Vidéotron Wireless, you have access to the widest integrated voice and data network in Canada. You can access the Internet from almost anywhere! In the US, data transmission and wireless Internet fees are the same as in Canada.
Using wireless Internet abroad
Vidéotron helps you stay connected when you are abroad: you have access to wireless Internet* in over 80 countries! Before leaving, Vidéotron recommends that you check if:
- Vidéotron has a roaming agreement in your traveling destination as well as the rates, if applicable.
- Your phone's compatibility with the GSM network at your destination.
How much does it cost?
High-speed wireless Internet
Some handsets are equipped with EDGE technology, which provides a data transfer capacity up to three times faster than GPRS.
* Note about GPRS services (wireless Internet)
GPRS data transmission services are offered according to the provider in the country where GPRS is possible. This means that to access GPRS services, you must select a provider from your phone. Vidéotron recommends that you manually select a GPRS service provider in the same region (consult your phone's User Guide for more information). That means you'll reduce your roaming charges on GPRS networks.
