Basic services

Discover the services included in your package

The basic services make your life easier: they are included in your Vidéotron package and do not require activation. Discover the combination of keys that give you quick access to essential services, never miss another call thanks to call waiting, use conference call to organize a group activity, etc.

Call waiting

Call waiting prevents you from missing a call while you are on the line. A brief tone alerts you to another incoming call, and you can easily switch from one call to another. If you are a subscriber to call display, the name and number of the person trying to reach you appears on the screen.

Activate or deactivate call waiting

Call waiting is automatically activated on your wireless phone.
You can activate or deactivate the call waiting service from the Settings menu on your phone or with the following codes:

Activation
> *43#, then « Send »
Deactivation
> #43#, then « Send »
Status verification
> *#43#, then « Send »

How much does it cost?

Airtime charges apply for calls waiting.

Conference call

Make life easier and save time! When organizing a group activity, save yourself the multiple calls: with conference call, you call talk with up to 5 people at once!

How does it work?

The first call is put on hold
> Press 2, then « Send »
The second call is added to the one already on hold
> Press 3, then « Send »
Add more participants
> Repeat steps 1 and 2
Remove the first participant
> Press 11, then « Send »
Remove the second participant
> Press 12, then « Send »
To answer a call waiting
> Press 2, then « Send »

How much does it cost?

Airtime charges apply for each participant. Long distance charges apply to calls made outside your local calling area.

Relay service for the hearing- or speech-impaired

The relay service is adapted to meet the needs of people with hearing problems who use a telecommunication device for the deaf, a TTY/teletypewriter, or other types of specialized devices to place or receive calls.

Hearing people who wish to reach hearing-impaired people via the relay service may do so by dialing 1-800-855-0511.

Emergency calls

The 911 service is available everywhere, even when you are outside your local calling area. Your phone lets you reach emergency services if you are near a cellular network.
