Installation

The EXPLORER® Digital Home Communications Terminal is very easy to install. Before proceeding, please refer to the owner's manual included with the terminal; it contains additional, useful information to ensure that your new device operates properly. This Vidéotron technical site is an interactive site which will help you install your terminal.

Choose the type of set-top box you have:

IMPORTANT
Ensure that the cable wire inside your home is not attached to any splitter, extension or amplifier, unless these accessories have been provided by Vidéotron. The digital signal travels at a much higher frequency than the analog signal, and these components may block some signals, which could cause problems with reception and pay-per-view selections. Place the EXPLORER® in a well ventilated area. If stacking it with other equipment, make sure it is on top. Placing the unit in an enclosed piece of furniture is not recommended.
