Power up EXPLORER® 2000 by pressing CBL on the remote.
Tune in channel 3 on your TV.
Using the EXPLORER® 2000 remote, tune in the channel or service you want to watch. You can also watch your programs in stereo sound, provided the EXPLORER® 2000 is connected to your sound system.
To record the program you are watching:
Follow the previous step (A) instructions for viewing the channel or service of your choice.
Tune in channel 3 on the VCR. Start recording by pressing REC on the VCR.
Set the volume on the TV or sound system, whichever you choose.
To record a digital TV program while watching an analog TV program
Tune in channel 3 on the VCR.
Using the EXPLORER® 2000, select the channel you want to record.
Start recording by pressing REC on the VCR.
Press BYPASS on the remote and make sure the green BYPASS indicator light on the front panel of the EXPLORER® 2000 is lit.
Tune in the analog channel of your choice using the TV remote.
To watch a videocassette or pre-recorded program
Turn on the TV and VCR.
Tune in channel 3 on your TV.
Start watching the videocassette by pushing PLAY. Set the volume on the TV or stereo receiver/amplifier, depending on your connection. Make sure the green BYPASS indicator light on the front panel of the EXPLORER® 2000 is off.
