Setup 4



    To watch the channel or service of your choice

  • Select the LINE input on the VCR by pressing the LINE, AUX, AV or CAM button on the VCR, or by selecting channel 00, 01, 91 or 99, depending on how the LINE/TUNER switch on the VCR works (refer to the VCR instruction manual).
  • Use the EXPLORER® 2000's remote control to tune in the channel you want to record from.
  • Start the recording by pressing the REC button on the VCR.
  • Select TV mode on the VCR using the TV/VCR button on the VCR's remote control.
  • Use the EXPLORER® 2000's remote control to tune in the channel or service of your choice. You will hear the programming in stereo through your sound system.


    To record a stereo digital program while you watch another, analog program

  • Tune in the desired channel on the EXPLORER® 2000.
  • Turn on the VCR and select the LINE input by pressing the LINE, AUX, AV or CAM button on the VCR, or by selecting channel 00, 01, 91 or 99, depending on how the LINE/TUNER switch on the VCR works.
  • Start the recording by pressing the REC button on the VCR.
  • Select TV mode on the VCR using the TV/VCR button on the VCR's remote control.
  • Tune in the analog channel of your choice using the TV's remote control (the lighted STEREO indicator on your TV will come on).


    To watch an analog program: In mono

  • Select TV mode on the VCR using the TV/VCR button on the VCR's remote control (you can also simply turn off the VCR).
  • Tune in the analog channel of your choice using the TV's remote control.


    To watch a video

  • Tune the TV to channel 3.
  • Press the PLAY button on the VCR.
  • You will hear the programming in stereo through your stereo receiver/amplifier.
