Setup 3



    To watch a digital program in mono

  • Press the CBL button on the remote control to turn on the EXPLORER® 2000.
  • Tune in the desired channel on the EXPLORER® 2000.
  • Turn on the VCR and select the LINE input by pressing the LINE, AUX, AV or CAM button on the VCR, or by selecting channel 00, 01, 91 or 99, depending on how the LINE/TUNER switch on the VCR works.
  • Select TV mode on the VCR using the TV/VCR button on the VCR's remote control.
  • Turn on your TV and tune it to channel 3, or select the VIDEO/AUDIO input on the TV by pressing the INPUT SELECT, INPUT, AUX, AVX or TV/VIDEO button on the TV's remote control.


    To record a digital program while watching an analog program

  • Tune in the desired channel on the EXPLORER® 2000.
  • Turn on the VCR and select the LINE input by pressing the LINE, AUX, AV or CAM button on the VCR, or by selecting channel 00, 01, 91 or 99, depending on how the LINE/TUNER switch on the VCR works.
  • Start the recording by pressing the REC button on the VCR.
  • Select TV mode on the VCR using the TV/VCR button on the VCR's remote control.
  • Choose the channel you want to watch using the TV's remote control.


    To watch an analog program

  • Select TV mode on the VCR using the TV/VCR button on the VCR's remote control (you can also simply turn off the VCR)
  • Tune in the analog channel of your choice using the TV's remote control.


    To watch a video

  • Turn on your TV and tune it to channel 3, or select the VIDEO/AUDIO input on the TV by pressing the INPUT SELECT, INPUT, AUX, AVX or TV/VIDEO button on the TV's remote control.
  • Start playback of the video (press the PLAY button on the VCR's remote control).
