* The number 5 key is of rectangular shape.
* The # key enables the Zoom and Stretch functions on HD terminals. It also enables the access to the setup menu of the PACE HD terminals.
* The remote control has four MODE keys that can be programmed to control such devices as a TV, a VCR, a DVD player or an AUDIO UNIT.
* The VCR/VOD button can control either your VCR or a VOD session. When pressed once, the VCR key will light up. This means you can now control your VCR (play, pause, stop, rewind and Fforward) with the remote. When the VCR/VOD button is pressed a second time, the CBL key will light up and you are now able to control a VOD session (play, pause, stop, rewind and Fforward) with the remote.

1. Turn ON all the terminals you wish to use with the remote control.
2. Simultaneously press the MUTE and SELECT keys until the POWER/MODE keys blink at slow random pace.
3. Press the CH+ key, keep it pressed until one of the terminals turns OFF. While holding the CH+key, the POWER/MODE keys will blink at a fast pace. Once one of the terminals has turned OFF, let go of the CH+ key and press MUTE key.
* If the terminal that was turned OFF turns back ON again, press the SELECT key to confirm the code. The POWER/MODE keys will blink and turn OFF.
* If the terminal that was turned OFF does not turn ON again, press the CH- key until the terminal turns back ON. Each time you press the CH- key, the POWER/MODE keys will blink ONCE in rapid reverse succession.
4. Once the correct code is found and the terminal turns back ON, press the SELECT key. The POWER/MODE keys will blink and turn OFF.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 4 for all the other devices you wish to control using the remote.

1. Turn ON the terminal you wish to use with the remote control. Simultaneously press the MUTE and SELECT keys until the POWER/MODE keys blink at slow random pace.
2. Find the corresponding code matching the brand of your device from the provided list. If there is more than one code, try them one by one with a brief pause in between each code until the chosen device turns OFF.
3. Once the code is found, press the MUTE key.
* If the device that was turned OFF turns back ON, press the SELECT key to confirm it. The POWER/MODE keys will blink and turn OFF.
* If the device that was turned OFF does not turn back ON, repeat the previous steps using the other provided codes until the device can be turned OFF and ON again.

When the remote is programmed for the first time, the VOLUME and MUTE keys will control the volume and muting of your TV set. This does not apply to the AUDIO mode (key): choosing this mode will control the volume of your audio unit). It is possible to change these settings:
1. On the remote simultaneously press the CBL and SELECT keys until the CBL key lights up.
2. Press the VOL+ key, then either the TV (the TV volume) or the CBL (the terminal volume) key depending what device you wish to control the volume of.
3. The selected key will blink and turn OFF.

When using the CBL or TV modes, the TV/VCR key changes from the TV input to the Video(RCA/S-Video) of your TV. In VIDEO mode the remote control is activated to use the TV/VCR functions of your VCR. The TV/VCR key can be programmed so that while using the CBL mode it will activate the TV/VCR functions of your VCR without having to select the VIDEO mode on the remote control.
1. Simultaneously press the TV/VCR and SELECT keys until the CBL key lights up.
2. Press the VIDEO key. The CBL key will blink and then turn OFF.

The # key on the remote control can be used to "Stretch" or "Zoom" the image on HD terminals.
It could be deactivated after a complete reset of the remote. Follow these easy steps to reactivate it:
1. Simultaneously press the MUTE and SELECT keys (the MODE keys will light up in succession).

2. Pres the INFO key. The chosen device button will start to blink a number of times. That number of times corresponds to one of the digits in the three-digit code for the concerned device. (Each number is separated by a 1-second break in between each sequence).
EX: For the code 035, the key will blink 10 times for 0, then there will be a 1-second break, then 3 blinks followed by another 1-second pause, and then 5 blinks for the number 5.

From the get-go, the remote control is programmed to control all of your devices. The ALL key will allow the remote to turn ON/OFF all your devices at once (TV, VCR, DVD). It is also possible to program the remote to tune the TV to a specific channel (ex: 03). Unfortunately, it is not possible for the remote to select some auxiliary source (ex.: video 1) of your TV.
You can program the ALL key so it will tune to a specific channel when pressed:
1. On the remote, select the cable mode (press the CBL key).
2. Simultaneously press the SETTINGS and ALL keys until the TV key lights up.
3. Press the 0 and 3 keys (it might be necessary to enter 003 instead of 3 on certain TV models).
4. Press the CH+ key to confirm the operation. The TV key will blink and turn OFF.
Reset the ALL key (cancel tuning of a specific channel on your TV)
1. On the remote, select the cable mode (press the CBL key).
2. Simultaneously press the SETTINGS and ALL keys until the TV key lights up.
3. Press the CH+ key to confirm the operation. The TV key will blink and turn OFF.

From the get-go, the CBL and TV keys are used to turn ON and OFF a corresponding device. Both of them use the "cable" (CBL) mode. It is always possible to program this key to accomplish more than one function at a time. SmartKey setup of the CBL key:

1. Simultaneously press the M1 (or M2) and CBL keys until the CBL key lights up.
2. Press the M1 (or M2) key. The CBL key will blink and turn OFF. This will signify that the chosen key (M1 or M2) is back to its original state.

The remote control has two different modes. By default it is in locked mode. The lock mode lets you use all the functions of the terminal and unlimited use of the functions of the other devices.
The unlocked mode gives you the same control over the terminal but offers greater control over other devices. We strongly advise against using the unlock mode since it can generate a lot of confusion. Ex: You could be pressing the CH+ to change channels on the terminal, but instead you would end up changing the channels on your TV, because the CBL key would not have been pressed beforehand and the remote was still on TV mode.
Note: By default it is in locked mode.
Using the LOCKED mode (recommended)
1. Simultaneously press the CBL and MUTE keys until the CBL lights up.
2. Press the 0, 0, 0 (zero key). The CBL key will blink and turn OFF.
Using the UNLOCKED mode (not recommended):
1. Simultaneously press the CBL and MUTE keys until the CBL lights up.
2. Press the 9, 9, 9. The CBL key will blink and turn OFF.
