Technical Specifications

* This remote is designed for the Personal Video Recorder (PVR).

* The # key enables the Zoom and Stretch functions on high-definition terminals.

* The remote includes a five-button MODE (CBL, TV, VCR, DVD et AUX) enabling you to control auxiliary devices such as a TV, a VCR, a DVD or a CD player.

* The remote does not have a VCR/VOD key. When using the CBL the remote will automatically control PVR functions like PAUSE, PLAY, STOP, REWIND and FASTFORWARD.


Point and Press Programming (rapid method)

1. Turn ON the device you wish to use with the remote (TV, VCR...).

2. Simultaneously press the SELECT and the corresponding device key (TV, VCR, DVD or AUX), and hold them until the chosen device key lights up.

3. Point the remote in the direction of the chosen device and alternatively press the CH+ and POWER keys. When the remote sends the right code, the chosen device will turn OFF. Once again, press the POWER key to turn your chosen device ON.

4. Save the code by pressing the corresponding device key (TV, VCR, DVD or AUX). It will blink twice and turn OFF.


Brand code programming method :

1. Turn on the equipment you wish to program (TV, VCR, DVD, AUX).

2. Press the corresponding device button (TV, VCR, DVD, AUX) to be programmed and SELECT button simutaneously until the LED turns on.

3. Point the remote control toward the equipment and enter one of the codes assigned to your brand from the code tables. The equipment will turn off when the correct code has been entered. Enter the codes one at the time and when the equipment turns off, press POWER to turb it back on.

4. Store the code number by pressing the device button (TV, VCR, DVD, AUX). The device LED will blink twicw to confirm that the code has been stored.


Volume control

When the TV code is programmed and CBL, TV, VCR or DVD mode are selected, the TV volume is automatically controlled by the remote's VOL+, VOL - and MUTE keys . When AUX mode is selected, the volume of the corresponding device will be controlled.

The following steps will help you modify this configuration.

1. Simultaneously press the SELECT and CBL, TV, VCR, DVD or AUX key, depending on the device you wish to control the volume of, until it lights up.

2. Press the VOL+ key.

3. Press the device key of your choosing.


Channel control setup

CH+ and CH- are the default keys used to change the channels on the terminal. The numerical keys are also used by default when the CBL, TV and VCR modes are selected. In the case of the DVD and AUX modes, it will be the channel from those devices that will be controlled by the remote.

You can use these easy steps to modify those default settings:

1. Simultaneously press the SELECT and CBL, TV, VCR, DVD or AUX keys, depending on the key you wish to modify, until it lights up.

2. Press the VOL- key.

3. Finally, press the key corresponding to the device you want to control.


Code ID's

1. Simultaneously press the SELECT key and the corresponding device key of your choosing (TV, VCR, DVD or AUX), and keep both of them pressed until it (TV, VCR, DVD or AUX) lights up.

2. Now press the INFO key. The corresponding device key will blink a number of times. The number of times the light blinks corresponds directly to a number of the device code. There is a 1-second pause (no blinking) in between each number (device codes have 3 digits).
Example: One blink, three blinks and eight blinks, with a 1-second pause between each sequence of blinks, represents code:138. 0 is represented by ten blinks.


AUX key setup

1. Simultaneously press the SELECT and AUX keys until the AUX key lights up.

2. Press the key corresponding to the device you want to control (TV, VCR, DVD).

3. Enter the code corresponding to the brand of the device you want to control by choosing a code from the provided list. If the chosen device does not turn OFF, try another code until it does. Once the device turns OFF, press AUX to save it (AUX will flash twice).


System On/Off

Programming the On/Off key enables you to power ON or OFF up to five devices simultaneously by using only one key.

1. Press the CBL key.

2. Simultaneously press SYSTEM On/Off and SELECT keys until the CBL key lights up.

3. Press a device key (CBL, TV, VCR, DVD or AUX), let go and then press the POWER key once.

4. Press the CH+ key after the previous step is completed for all the desired devices (the CBL key will blink twice).

To erase the On/Off settings, follow these 3 easy steps :

1. Press the CBL key.

2. Simultaneously press the SYSTEM On/Off and SELECT keys until the CBL key lights up.

3. Press the CH+ key. The CBL key will blink twice to confirm that the settings have been erased.


M1 key

The M1 key is also a "Macro key". This means you can program a sequence of commands to be executed when the M1 key is pressed. The command sequence can contain up to ten items. The sequence could be this, as example: CBL, POWER, TV, POWER, 2,1,6, SELECT and GUIDE, by pressing only one key (M1). This sequence would open the terminal, the TV, select channel 216 and then show the channel guide.

1. Select the CBL mode (press the CBL key).

2. Simultaneously press the SELECT and M1 keys until the CBL key lights up.

3. Press successively the keys you want in the sequence (maximum of 10 keys).

4. Press the CH+ key to save the sequence.


Resetting

To reset the remote control, simultaneously press the CBL and REC keys, and hold both of them for about 10 seconds. The 5 mode keys will blink successively confirming the remote is back to its original factory settings.
