- How can I change the display language of the Personal Call Manager?

1) Disconnect from the Personal Call Manager.
2) Access the Vidéotron home page at www.videotron.com
3) Select the desired language from the menu located in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
4) Re-connect to the new Personal Call Manager.
Login
- I forgot my password, what do I do?
-
You must reset your password to define a new one. Passwords are reset from the 'Customer Centre' section of videotron.com by a Softphone account administrator.
Home
- How do I activate or deactivate each Personal Call Manager function?

Click on the name of the function: you will be redirected to a confirmation page.
- How can I see all my incoming and outgoing calls?
-
Click on "View all calls" in the body of the page or on "Call Log" in the left-hand menu.
Call Log
- How do I sort calls?
-
Click on the title of the column (Duration, Phone number, etc.) depending on how you wish to sort the call information.
- How do I delete entries in the Call Log?
-
Select the calls you wish to delete and click "Delete selected items".
- How do I empty the Call Log?
-
Display all elements with the drop-down menu, select all and click "Delete selected items".
- How do I print my Call Log?
-
Display the entries of all the calls made with the drop-down menu and click "Print". Repeat the operation for all calls received.
Multiple ringing
- How do I program Simultaneous Multiple Ringing?
-
1) Switch the function to "Active".
2) Add the phone numbers to which you wish your calls to be forwarded to and click "Add number".
3) Select "Ring all numbers at the same time". Note: If one or more of these numbers has voicemail or an answering machine, ensure that the delay is adjusted according to that of the Softphone's voicemail.
4) Click on "Save" and test to make sure it has been programmed.
- How do I program the Sequential Multiple Ringing?

1) Switch the function to "Active".
2) Add the phone number(s) to which you wish to forward your calls and click "Add number".
3) Select "Ring the numbers in sequence".
4) Determine the number of rings desired before calling the next number. Note: If one or more of these numbers has voicemail or an answering machine, ensure that they do not interfere with the call sequence.
Adjust the number of rings of the Softphone's voicemail as necessary.
5) Adjust the order of the sequence as needed using the arrows located to the left of the numbers.
6) Click "Save" and test your sequence to make sure it has been programmed.
- How do I determine the number of rings for Multiple Ringing?

During the entire call sequence, the caller will hear a ringtone. A cycle of rings lasts six seconds. We recommend avoiding sequences with more than four rings - your contacts might think your line is out of service.
- How do I remove a number from Multiple Ringing?

Click on the "Delete" link located to the right of the number, then click "Save".
Call forwarding
- How do I forward all my calls?
-
1) Switch the function to "Active".
2) Specify whether it is a local, long distance (1) or overseas (011) call.
3) Dial the number where you wish to forward your calls.
4) Click "Save".
Note: When Call Forwarding is activated, your Softphone does not ring; however you can still make calls.
Call screening
- How do I activate Call Screening?

1) Switch the function to "Active".
2) Enter the number to be screened in the "Add number" field.
3) Click the "Add" link.
4) Check the "Send calls from the following numbers to voicemail".
5) Click "Save".
- How do I remove a number from Call Screening?

Click the "Delete" link located to the right of the number to be removed, then click "Save".
Do not disturb
- How do I activate the Do Not Disturb function?
-
1) Switch the function to "Active".
2) Select "Do not disturb at selected periods".
3) Define the beginning and end of a period in the "Add periods" section.
4) Click the "Add" link.
5) Click "Save".
- How do I remove a period in Do Not Disturb?

Click the "Delete" link located on the right of the number to remove, then click "Save".
Mailbox settings
- How do I change the number of rings before voicemail answers the call?
-
Choose the number of rings included between 1 and 9. The delay corresponding to the number of rings is indicated in the chart. A ring cycle lasts approximately six seconds.
Change password
- How do I change my password?
-
Enter the valid password, then the new password.
Presence manager
- How can I see the observers that see my Presence status?
-
The "Active observers" list located on the list of Vidéotron Softphone users that see your Presence status. This list is updated in real time. If nobody sees your presence when you login to this page, the message "Nobody sees your presence" will appear in this space.
- How do I block an observer?
-
You have two options: 1) from the list of active observers, click the "Block" button located next to the user in question; 2) under the list of active observers , there is a field named "Block an observer". You must know their username and domain name. Enter the name in the field and select the domain name from the drop-down menu.
- How can I see the list of blocked observers?

The "Blocked observers" list displays the names of the Vidéotron Softphone users you have blocked from observing your Presence status.
- How do I authorize a user that has been blocked?

From the list of "Blocked observers", click on "Authorize" next to the name of the user you wish to grant access to your Presence status.
- How do I add users to my presence list?
-
You must do so from your Softphone. Go to "Contacts", access the information file of the user you wish to observe and check the "See when this user is connected" box. The SIP address field must be completed in order to be valid. This information is available from the targeted user.
- How do I change my Presence status?
-
To change your Presence status, use the Presence menu (upper-left corner) or the Softphone main menu.
What is the Personal Call Manager?
The Personal Call Manager lets Softphone users customize their call management options and access their call log.
