End of analog broadcasting in the U.S.: No change for Videotron subscribers
Since February 17, 2009, the U.S. television networks ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS stopped broadcasting analog signals.
Why?
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the U.S. regulatory agency, decided to end analog broadcasting, as of June 12, 2009, in order to make the frequencies available for emergency communications and more digital channels.
