Is Vidéotron's WebMail secure?
Authentication is in SSL (Secured Socket Layer) mode with a 128-bit encryption. E-mail display is not encrypted.

How much storage space do I have?
The total space is 50 MB for the main mailbox and 20 MB for the secondary mailboxes. If you have 5 secondary mailboxes, each mailbox will have a storage capacity of 4 MB.

What happens to my regular access via Outlook or Netscape?
You can still access your e-mail via another messaging software. However, any e-mails that you send from WebMail will not be copied in your other messaging software.

Does Vidéotron's WebMail work with all browsers on the market?
Yes, WebMail is compatible with all up-to-date browsers. However, in order to ensure optimal performance, we recommend that you use the current versions of Internet Explorer (6.x), Netscape (7.x) or Mozilla Firefox (1.x).

How much does WebMail cost?
WebMail is free for all Vidéotron cable Internet subscribers.

Am I protected against viruses and spam?
Your mailbox is protected by antivirus software and spam-blockers that have been installed on all of Vidéotron's e-mail servers.

I'm not a Vidéotron cable Internet subscriber. Can I access WebMail anyway?
No. This service is reserved for Vidéotron cable Internet subscribers.

Can I send and/or receive attached files or pictures?
Yes, as long as you don't go over your mailbox's storage capacity limit. To avoid going over this limit, we recommend that you do not save files sent as attachments on the server.

Can I import my address book from Outlook, Netscape Messenger or Mozilla Thunderbird ?
No. However, you can always manually enter the addresses to build a WebMail address book.
