Setting an auto-reply message rule informing of an email address update with Outlook Express
You must first create a generic message. To do so,
follow these steps :
- Edit the following text replacing the uppercase content with information
relevant to you and then select the text with your mouse.
Click on "Edit"
Click on "Copy"
Click on "Start"
Click on "Programs"
Click on "Accessories"
Click on "Notepad"
Click on "Edit"
Click on "Paste"
Click on "File"
Click on "Save as"
Select a folder of your choice
Specify the following name file : "automated_reply.eml"
Click on "OK"
Your generic message is now ready.
Now for the configuration of your email software Outlook Express.
- First, click on the "Tools" menu.

- Click on "Message Rules", then on "Mail"

- In the first box, check the option "Where the To or CC line contains
people"

- In the second box, check the option "Reply with message"

- In the third case, click on "contains
people", which opens the following settings window :

- Type your previous email address

- Click "Add", then "OK"

- Back to the previous window, click on "message"

- Locate your "automated_reply.eml" file

- Select it and click "Open"

- In the fourth box, rename the new rule

- Click "OK", make sure the new rule is checked and click on
"OK"
