Security on the Internet

The Internet is a very useful tool. Unfortunately, the mother of all networks does not escape the rule that a tool can either be used advisedly or to reprehensible ends. This is why we would like to draw the attention of our customers and of all cyber surfers to the dangers related to the use of the Internet.

The potential problems are often simple disadvantages of little importance, but certain security flaws can have serious consequences. Among those, one can note: the corruption or destruction of your system files and your data, charges on your account for unknown communications or even charges against you for offences perpetrated under your identity (mass mailings of prohibited or offensive messages, spamming, illegal attempts at intrusion on large data processing networks, etc.)

Our objective in publishing the present information is by no means to cause fear but rather to stimulate prudence and discernment. Some basic knowledge is often enough to avoid traps and nuisances. We could not insist enough on the importance to familiarize, if not with the nature and causes of the potential dangers of surfing on the Internet, at least with the safety measures to ensure your protection.
