DNS Configuration for Windows 2000

Windows 2000

The Windows 2000 operating system automatically tries to register it's name in the DNS server and activates NetBIOS over TCP/IP. These options are not required for your Internet access to function properly and can cause unauthorised updates on our servers, which can be seen as intrusion attempts. Follow procedure below to correct the DNS configuration.

Click on Start in the taskbar.

Select Settings and then, Control Panel.
