My display shows the following message: "Insert SIM card". What should I do?
This message could appear for many reasons, but most often because:
- A SIM card has not been inserted in the device.
- The SIM card was inserted on the wrong side. The gold contacts have to be aligned with those on the phone.
- The phone did not recognize the card.
- The card was not locked in correctly.
To correct the problem:
- Make sure that your SIM card is not scratched, wet or damaged.
- Turn off your device.
- Remove the phone battery.
- Remove the card, then reinsert it. Many phones have a locking system to prevent the SIM card from moving around and to ensure sufficient contact. If this is the case, check that the metal bar is blocking the card properly and preventing it from moving.
- Replace the battery, and switch the phone on.
If the message continues to appear, try putting the card in another GSM device. If the problem is not solved, contact one of our Technical Support agents at 1-866-380-2967.
My display shows the following message: "Unregistered SIM". What should I do?

- Reinsert the card.
- Make sure that the metal bar (if applicable) is blocking the card properly and preventing it from moving.
- Replace the battery, and switch the phone on.
If the message continues to appear, contact one of our Technical Support agents at 1-866-380-2967

How do I unlock my device / SIM card / keypad?
Unlocking my device
Each manufacturer has a default PIN to lock its devices (for example, 0000 or 12345). Once the locking option is activated on your device, you can change the code to your liking.
If you don't remember the new code, you have an unlimited number of opportunities to try and key it in. However, if you still don't remember it, you will have to go to a point of service with your device to have the software reinitialized.
Personal Identification Number (PIN)
To maintain confidentiality and security, it is possible to have a security code on your SIM card by activating the PIN function. The PIN is a four-digit number that you enter each time you charge your phone.
You can modify your device's configuration menu. If you forget the PIN, after five consecutive attempts, your phone will lock. You will have to enter a personal unblocking key (PUK) that one of our Technical Support agents will give you when you call 1-866-380-2967.
Please note: if you enter the PUK code incorrectly 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be locked permanently. You will have to buy yourself a new one
Unlocking the keypad
Certain phones offer the option to lock all the keypad keys so as to avoid accidental occurrences when the phones are in a pocket or bag. For most devices, you simply click on "Menu" then "*". Consult your user guide to be sure of the procedure to follow.
