Certified refurbished phones: a wise choice

Whether economic or environmental, there are several good reasons to offer a second life to a cell phone. Videotron offers a vast selection of devices at affordable prices, payable in 1 or 24 payments. Learn more about certified refurbished phones.

Payment methods

When you purchase a certified refurbished phone combined with a new subscription or renewal, you can pay in two different ways:

• With the Simplified Payment option: Pay in 24 monthly payments.
• Without the Simplified Payment option: Make a one-time payment.

Videotron’s certified refurbished phones warranty

If you purchased a certified refurbished phone and it turns out to be defective, a Videotron 12-month warranty applies (parts and labour). As soon as you notice a defect that is not one of the exclusions below, visit a Videotron store near you before the end date of Videotron’s certified refurbished warranty, which begins on the device activation date or the device purchase date if activation occurs more than 30 days after purchase.

Videotron’s basic warranty does not apply to device defects that are cosmetic in nature (e.g., scratches, cracks in the screen, etc.) or if the device is broken or defective for any of the following reasons:

• An accident
• A case of force majeure
• Modified equipment without our permission
• Misuse of the device or equipment

If the equipment is defective, we will replace it with a refurbished device with identical or comparable features.

The certified USB cable, whether new or used, included with a certified refurbished phone may not be the original one and is not covered by the warranty.

Satisfaction warranty

If you are not satisfied with the Mobile plan you are subscribed to, you have 15 days (or 30 days if you are a person with a disability) after its activation to cancel the agreement without early cancellation fees.

However, unless your agreement was signed with an itinerant merchant, where specific rules associated with applicable laws apply, your use of the selected plan will be invoiced, and if you use additional options, such as roaming data, during these 15 days (or 30 days if you are a person with a disability), you will need to pay the associated fees. Mobile activation fees, device upgrade fees, and SIM card fees are non-refundable.

Conditions to be entitled to the warranty:

1. Having used at most 50 % of calling time and data included in your Mobile plan or Mobile Internet plan. If your subscribed-to monthly plan includes unlimited usage, condition [1] will not apply to the unlimited option.
2. Return the equipment and its accessories to us in their original packaging (if applicable) and in almost new condition, otherwise you must pay early cancellation fees where appropriate.

Conditions
¹ Battery life may vary depending on prior usage. When certifying the device, we ensure that the battery is operating at at least 80% of its initial capacity. If not, we will replace it with a new battery. Certified refurbished phones have not been repaired, remanufactured, or refurbished by the original manufacturers.
