Support for using the Hayu app on Helix TV
Learn how to access the Hayu app on Helix TV and use the available features.The Hayu app provides access to an impressive catalogue of ad-free English-language reality TV series. Treat yourself to new episodes added the same day they are initially broadcast, plus previous seasons presented in their entirety!
How to access Hayu
To launch the app on your TV, you can:
- Use voice command and say “Hayu” (pronounced “Hey you”)
- Press the HELIX key on your remote control and select Apps > Entertainment, then Hayu
How to connect to Hayu
- Access the Hayu app.
- Select Log In.
- Note the 6-character code displayed on the screen.
- Go to https://hayu.com/pair.
- Click Sign in and log in.
- Enter the 6-character code in the “Enter your code from the Hayu TV app to pair it to your Hayu account” field.
What Hayu app features are available on Helix TV?
When you are logged into your Hayu account via Helix TV, you can:
- Access the full content library
- Add or remove titles from your favourites list
- Search for content
- Resume viewing
- Use voice commands: Play, Pause, Fast Forward, and Rewind
Back to Helix TV from Hayu
To exit the app, press the Exit key on your remote control.
The parental control feature in the Hayu app is independent from the parental control feature for Helix. To set it up, log into Hayu.com and go to My Account > Settings.
English subtitles are available for some programs. To enable them, select Subtitles at the top of the screen during viewing.
To add content to your favourites, select + My Shows on the given program’s page.
You can view your list by selecting My Shows from the app’s main menu.
To remove an item from your favourites, select √ My Shows.
Log into your account at www.hayu.com, then try to access the pairing page again.
