What is Stingray Music app?
Stingray Music is an app that gives you access to many audio channels streaming music from every popular genre: pop, rock, hip-hop, country, blues, jazz, classical and much more, in French, English or other languages, for adults and children. Stingray Music has something for everyone!
What are Stingray Music app’s features?
- Plenty of music channels sorted by genre, with new releases being constantly added.
- Filters, like genre, era or vibe will help you refine your search. Add up to three filters to create your perfect channel.
- The My Music section regroups all the channels you set as your favourites and a history of all the channels you listened to recently.
- Custom recommendations based on your listening habits and favourites, recommendations on what’s popular based on the most listened to channels at the moment and recommendations highlighting new channels.
How do I start and control my Stingray Music app?
To launch the app on your TV, use voice command and say “Stingray”, or press the HELIX button on your remote and select Stingray from the Apps section in the menu. The Stingray home screen will appear with the words "You’re entering a third-party app." to let you know that this application is not integrated to Helix TV.
To directly start listening to a channel in the app, or to change channels, use voice command and say “Stingray”, then the name of the channel. For example, “Stingray Rock”, “Stingray Hit List”, “Stingray Pop Adult”, etc. This voice command works for the most popular Stingray channels.
Use voice commands, like “Play”, “Pause”, or “Stop” to control the app’s music playing.
At this time, the Stingray Music app on Helix is not synced with the mobile app or with other terminals. Your customized elements, like recommendations, are unique to your Helix TV terminal.
Yes. The Stingray Music app is included in all Helix TV plans.
Yes. Listening to Stingray Music on Helix TV will be reflected in your data usage, as streaming always consumes data.
No. It is not possible to skip a track while listening.
Some Stingray linear channels have been removed from Helix TV. However, you can find them through the Stingray app.
Use voice command and say “Stingray” or press the HELIX button on your remote and select Stingray from the Apps section in the menu, under Music. Then browse the channels by music style to find the channel you want.

Using the XITE app
For information on how to use the XITE app, press the i (info) key on your remote.
