New generation remote (UEI)

New remote controls are often pre-programmed for Samsung televisions.

If you want to use the TV Source button with your TV, you must program the audio system before programming the TV code.

This allows you to manually program a device according to the brand. To identify the codes for your device, see the list of codes.

  1. Turn on the device to be programmed.
  2. Hold down OK/SELECT and MUTE until the TV button flashes red twice.
  3. Enter the first five-digit code on your device. The TV button will flash twice.
  4. Point the remote control at the device, then press the TV button.
  5. If the device doesn’t turn off, repeat steps 2 to 5 with a different code.
  6. When the device turns off, programming is successful.

If no code works, try using automatic search.

This allows you to find a compatible programming code for your device from the list of codes in the remote control.

  1. Turn on the device to be programmed.
  2. Hold down OK/SELECT and MUTE until the TV button flashes red twice.
  3. Enter code 9, 9, 1. The TV button will flash red twice again.
  4. Press 1 to program a TV; press 3 for an audio system.
  5. Point the remote control at the device.
  6. Press the CH+ button several times, until the device turns off. This operation may take several minutes as all codes are tested one by one.
  7. When the device turns off, press OK/SELECT to lock the code.
  8. Press the TV button to check if your device turns on again.
