How to use Call Waiting on my mobile?

The Call Waiting feature on your mobile prevents you from missing any calls when you’re already on the line.

If you’re unsure whether Call Waiting is enabled or not, dial *#43# to find out. A message will appear on your phone screen telling you if it is enabled.

If you have subscribed to Videotron’s Voicemail service, the call will go to voicemail if you ignore it. If you have not subscribed to Voicemail, your second caller will hear a busy signal.

Good to know

Note that the procedure for a three-way call is the same for Apple and Android phones.

Call Waiting is enabled at all times. You’ll get notified of incoming calls even when you’re on a conference call. If you ignore an incoming call and you have subscribed to Videotron’s Voicemail service, the call will go to voicemail. If you have not subscribed to the service, the caller will hear a busy signal.

  1. To answer a second call, press the green Call icon. The first call is automatically put on hold.
  2. Press the red End Call icon to hang up and return to the other call.
  3. To set up a three-way call, press Call again.

If the VoLTE feature is enabled on a device that doesn’t meet the requirements for VoLTE to work properly, you will not be able to use Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Three-way Calling, etc.

Check the requirements for using VoLTE.
